THE INSIDE

"The best technology advice comes from someone who has actually sat in your chair — and understands the pressures, the compliance demands, and the operational realities your team faces every day."

— Geoffrey Pope, Founder & CEO

BACKGROUND

An IT executive who has
done the work - not just
advised on it

Geoffrey Pope is an accomplished IT executive with 25+ years of experience leading large-scale modernization, implementation, and digital transformation initiatives across EdTech, food & beverage, healthcare, and higher education. He has consistently built reliable, scalable, and secure systems that support real business operations.

As a proven entrepreneurial change agent, Geoff specializes in building organizational IT capabilities from the ground up — covering networking, computing, cybersecurity, data infrastructure, budget development, and analytics. His expertise spans corporate security program design, compliance audits, and managing the IT dimensions of complex acquisitions.

Geoff founded Turning Point Advisory in January 2025 to bring that operating experience directly to clients who need it most — delivering senior-level IT leadership without the cost of a full-time executive hire.

EXPERTISE

What Geoff brings to every engagement

Industry-native experience

Geoff has held senior IT roles inside food & beverage, EdTech, medical devices, and healthcare — not just consulted into them. He knows the compliance pressures and operational realities from the inside.

Large-scale transformation

Proven track record leading modernization, cloud migration, and infrastructure overhaul projects — including building executive-level IT Steering Committees to drive enterprise-wide change.

Security & compliance fluency

Deep familiarity with SOC 2, PCI DSS, SOX 404, HIPAA, and Massachusetts state regulations — built through years managing audits and compliance programs, not just studying frameworks.

Budget & vendor management

Experienced in IT budget development, financial audits, and vendor negotiations — ensuring clients get the right technology at the right price, without unnecessary complexity.
